My New Room Needs Help

So after moving in. Now I need to figure out a way to make my room look nice and feel cozy. All the walls are plain white and unattractive. I don’t have a lot of money to spend to make everything look and feel great. Since the size of the room is smaller than my previous place, I have taken off the closet doors to stick my desk into as you can see in the photo below. So what ideas do you guys have for making this area look nice and feel cozy? Just leave a comment on my Flickr page.
