Comcast Fail
I feel the need to publicly say what a bad job Comcast has done in setting up my new place. This whole thing has just added to the frustration of me not liking any part of living here.
We had called in advanced to terminate the old residence and set up the new residence on Saturday. Comcast did come out on Saturday to install the cabled boxes and modem. However there are problems with the line signal being very weak. Too weak to get internet. The tech put in a special request order, saying someone would be by on Monday to boost the signal at the tap, and at some point when it gets warmer, replace the drop coming into the residence.
Monday comes and by 3 there hasn’t been any Comcast tech out to boost the signal. Called customer service which became quite the ordeal. The rep told us he was trying to get in touch with dispatch. After half an hour on hold waiting for that, he comes back and says they should be on their way. No one from Comcast ever showed up yesterday.
Today we call again. Another ordeal dealing with finding out what is going on. Supposedly there was a problem with the system saying a previous service request had not cleared from Feb 4, and therefore no new service requests could be entered. Why wasn’t I told about that yesterday when I called? Why wasn’t that clear? It makes no sense.
So after fighting yesterday and today with Comcast customer service someone is supposed to be coming out today between 4 and 7. Comcast has really botched installing my new service. So much for the Comcast commercials touting their customer service. Giving a customer the run around is not good customer service. If I don’t have cable internet by tonight, you better believe I am going to be giving Comcast an earful. It has added insult to injury because I really do not like this new place..
