Beauty and the Geek 05x10

The season finale. Right off the bat someone is going to be eliminated. When the teams enter the lounge as usual to hear what their challenges will be, Mike revealed that one team, will be eliminated right then. The point of the show is to learn as much about your partner as you can. So Mike is asking each team questions about their partner. The two team with 3 correct answers are safe from elimination. The two teams that will compete for the prize are Chis and Cara, and Tom and Amanda.

Before the last challenge, the final two teams, and the rest of the season’s teams get to spend one last night in the mansion. Immediately, Amber starts spreading rumors. This can only cause drama. I think they put too much of the dumb drama into the episode. I could have done without 8 minutes of it.

The final challenge is for Chris and Cara, and Tom and Amanda to find the other beauties and geeks that are hidden around LA. They must track them down using the internet and a book of clues. The team that returns to the mansion with the most wins $250,000.

The challenge wasn’t all that exciting again. It’s just time killing at best. Now the moment of truth. The winner of Season 5 are Tom and Amanda, finding 5 of their house mates. Overall, this season of BATG was fairly disappointing. The show seems to continue losing it’s authenticity as it gets older with each new season.
