Beauty and the Geek 05x09

Alright straight to this weeks challenges.

The geeks have to give models a make over. And when tommy heard they would be working with a model, his first reaction was to hope the model be amber. That boy has some issues if he still has a crush on Amber. Only these girls aren’t what you think of typical beautiful models. They’re more of the average girl next door type. Think of Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries.

The geeks each have to make over their model, dressing them, having their hair, and make up done. Now surely I am not the only one that thinks “hmm, a geek making over a woman, this can’t be good.” And it pretty much was just that. For the most part I don’t think the geeks did that great of a job making over their model.

The winner of the challenge is decided by the beauties who will judge each model by a before and after photo and choosing who they think made the biggest transformation. It’s really know surprise that Chris and Tommy are the top 2 favorites chosen by the beauties, with the win going to Chris.

Next up the beauties challenge, where they have to complete a series of home improvement projects. First they have to unclog a bath tub. then they have to fix a toilet. finally they have to take apart a sink to find a ring that was dropped down it. As usual the beauties are completely freaked out by the challenge.

Leticia just blows through each of the challenges finishing before any of the other ladies even get their bath tub unclogged. It was pretty boring. And to be honest, the whole episode was just not very entertaining. With Leticia winning the beauties challenge, Tara and Joe, and Amanda and Tommy will have to face each other in the elimination room.

Again, nothing very exciting to talk about. In the elimination room it goes back and forth to both teams each having answered two questions correctly, leaving the next person to correctly answer a question wins. It ends up being Amanda and Tommy, which sends Tara and Joe out of the mansion. And really, not soon enough. The whole Joe thing was old and annoying. It does make me wonder though if Tara forfeited the last question just so she could go home to get away from Joe.
