Beauty and the Geek 05x05

Wow! So last week the beauties partnered up with a geek. And this week the show finally got entertaining. It’s about time! This episode was the classic geek make over, and ended up with a few surprises.

You know by now how these geek make overs go. The geeks trade in their glasses for contacts, get their hair cut, body hair waxed, and new clothes. Everyone turned out great. Except Joe was unhappy about the change in style and feels betrayed to himself.

The challenge this week had each team writing and performing a scene for a soap opera on the set of The Young and the Restless. I mean finally the show is entertaining and isn’t pure crap. The scenes were hilarious and some teams did a really good job. Matt and Leticia win, and gain the power to choose both teams for elimination. They also get to attend the premiere of a new movie, Prom Night.

Fast forward to the stair case ceremony, and this is where the surprises start rolling. Mike informs Matt and Leticia that they won’t need to pick anyone since no one will be eliminated. And to add to that, they get to choose one team to go out for the night with them. Leticia chooses Greg and Randi. Could care less about them though.

Now for surprise number two. The remaining 4 teams must decide who among them will have to go up for elimination next week. No one can really decide who to go, so they come up with the idea of holding their own challenge. This leads to one of the greatest BATG moments ever! They decide that the geeks should dress in drag, and that the whomever does the worst job will be sent to elimination next week.

It was horrible, I mean it was good. No I mean it was hilarious. The girls decide that Joe did the worse dressing up in drag. So next week he will be going into elimination. The geeks in drag were hilarious. And I do believe Tommy was the best. He modeled himself after Amber. What was funny is how spot on his impersonation of her was.

I can only hope that the rest of the season is as good as this episode was. Though I don’t realistically expect that.
