Beauty & The Geek S05E01

Oh boy here we go. Well I was some what disappointed with season 4 of this show. In the beginning the show was about male geeks and female beauties being teamed up to conquer challenges in hope that each other would rub off to make them a more round person. Season 4 had a twist, one beauty was guy, and one geek was a girl. I wasn’t much of a fan of this but it turned out to be okay.

So here I am watching the first episode for season 5 (the first 3 minutes). I already don’t like how this season is looking. This year it’s beauties versus geeks. That’s right, they aren’t pairing off as one beauty with one geek. I think they learned from season 4 that male beauty versus female geek presents an off kiltered competition.

Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I don’t like this. It’s becoming too commercialized and mainstream, further away from where the series began. Though this year I do think they have picked geekier geeks which is good. On the other hand, I don’t like any of the beauties. They are even worse this season than any previous season.

I like the geeks this season! The one girl I am okay with is Leticia, the extreme sports chick.

Girls win the phone number challenge, even with their “make under.” No surprise there. So now they must choose 5 geeks to face off in an elimination. And of course, none of them want to send the Gaysian home. I wish that the cowboy would have left first.
